A Dream Come True…
For the longest time, I’ve carried this vision in my heart... a western-inspired session that blended a touch of glamour, a loyal horse, and the magic of golden light.
It always felt like one of those “someday dreams” you keep tucked away, waiting for the right pieces to fall into place. After months of imagining and searching, everything finally aligned.
I had been looking for the perfect model on Facebook when a work colleague tagged Charli in my post. She reached out, and straight away I knew she was the perfect fit. Not only did she bring beauty and energy to the shoot, but she also introduced me to her young horse, Percy. At just six weeks under saddle, he handled himself like a horse with years of experience! steady, strong, and such a character in the story.
And then there was the dress. Once Charli ordered it and it arrived, the last piece of the puzzle was complete. The accessories tied everything together, western charm mixed with just the right touch of elegance. Suddenly my dream session wasn’t just an idea anymore… it was real.
Charli did such an amazing job preparing Percy for his important role, and he was calm and ready for every moment. But what made the session even more special was when her partner, Eli, joined in. What began as a solo creative shoot transformed into something even more magical ... capturing their love against that golden western backdrop. The couple photos were completely unplanned, yet they became some of my absolute favourites from the whole day.
This shoot reminded me that sometimes dreams take time, but when the right people, the right setting, and the right moment come together, it’s worth every second of waiting.
From start to finish, I was capturing my vision and bringing it to life. And when that happens, it’s so much more than just photos… it’s dreams coming true.
I will forever be thankful to everyone who helped make this possible... those who shared my posts, those who enquired, Charli & Eli, Eli’s family for opening up their beautiful farm, and of course, my own family for holding down the fort while I chased this dream.
These images are something I’ll treasure forever! a vision I’ve carried in my heart, finally brought to life. ✨
